Argh! When will winter end?

Hi, All:
We finally have a day when the wind chill is above zero, so I took the dogs out in my field for a much-needed romp. Olga has said a couple of times that she wished for some snow. Here are a couple of pictures of Dusty and Belle (my 11 month old puppy) barreling out of one of the snow-covered tunnels. Enjoy : )

Great pictures! They look like they are having such a blast!
Gus, my Aussie, has only seen snow once, and he thought it was great. Add a tunnel to the equation, especially one that he had to clear, and he would have loved it!

It's -2 at our house right now... we feel your winter pain :(

We've had such a weird winter too.....Saturday it was 85 and windy, yesterday it was 70 and calm, then last night it started raining (which we need badly, plus it makes the field great to run on). The fluctuations in temperature and wind have really been strange.
I can't even imagine -2...and how is that for the dogs? Does everyone just stay inside?

Yes, we have to stay inside, or go outside for only 20 minutes at a time... it stinks!
I have a Chihuahua who can't even go outside in this weather, he'll FREEZE!
Luckily we have lots of indoor facilities to work in. :)

Re: Argh! When will winter end?
At really frigid temps like 10 degrees and colder, the dogs don't stay outside very long; it's just way too hard on their feet. My youngest Aussie and my Airedale in particular will start trying to walk on three legs after a few minutes outside in subzero temps. Dusty and Libby are willing to tough it out a little longer, but they're usually quite willing to come in when Max and Belle come in.
Saturday was the first day in a couple of weeks with a positive wind chill factor. It's warmed up so much (40 today) that I'm hoping that by the end of this week, the snow will be gone and I can start setting up courses out in my field again. Traveling 140 miles round trip to train is starting to get old.
