Becky & Freddie on vacation!
Hi Everybody,
Matt and I packed up the dogs, the tunnel, the weave poles and a jump last Saturday, and hit the road, taking the northern route across country to attend our nephew's college graduation today in Ohio. So far, we've been in CA, NV, AZ, UT, MT, WY, ID, SD, MN, WI, IN, IL, and OH. Tomorrow we head home, taking the middle route that will include Denver, Albuquerque and Flagstaff. We expect to get home Sunday night, in time for work and Freddie's lesson on Monday.
The dogs have been really good...we did cover their crates while in Yellowstone...not sure how the bison or bears or white wolves would have reacted to Gus and Freddie's sounding the alarm....
We've seen a lot of great sights. I'm going to try to attach a couple of pictures here.

It's Thursday night and we made it into Denver tonight. It was kind of a nerve-wracking day, as we had stormy weather and tornado watches all the way across Nebraska. We had a weather radio with us, so between that and the map, we were able to keep track of what areas they were talking about (wherever we went...). The weather followed us into Colorado, too. We were about 50 miles from Denver when they lifted the warnings. A big sigh of relief for us So-Cals.
Tomorrow we head for Albquerque...looks like more rain and thunderstorms...but so far no word of tornados...hope that stays the case.
The dogs are being troopers. The weather has limited our activity more than we would like. On the plus side, the trip has been great for training Freddie about being in motel rooms. His alarm-barking has almost disappeared.
While it has been a great trip, we're looking forward to getting home. Vacation is a lot of work!!!

Wow, what a trip!  You must have a very understanding husband to be able to take both the dogs AND some agility equipment with you!  :-)

Yup, he's the best...and a super nice guy, too! Me and the boys are very lucky.....
