NW Regionals!

agilityaddict's picture

Well were off to the NW Regionals in Canby, OR this weekend. There is a pretty large Canadian contingent - should be a blast! I'm looking forward to meeting Alisha and Eric in person and also, will get a few professional videos from Eric for the first time. We decided not to do the team event as it is on the Monday and I'm already dragging my kids and husband down there on our way to Central Washington for a camping trip. I'm so choked that I can't run in the Steeplechase as that is definitely Phoenix's event and I LOVE steeplechase but we only had one crack at it and neither dog qualified. At least both will be running the Grand Prix.

Good luck to everyone who is going!

Have a great time. Keep your eye out for a great yellow lab "Slick", he and Jaye maybe there. Not sure if Kari ad Emmy are going.

Cheers,

Jean

Re: NW Regionals!

Good luck Wendy!  We don't have USDAA on this side of the state, so Emmy and I didn't know anything about the NW Regionals.  Talk about being out of the loop!

Re: NW Regionals!

How'd it go...hmmm....the videos of our GP runs pretty much say it all.  Honestly - not well at all!!! lol

I can't get over the fact that even after 5 years of trialing, Xena still can't work when my daughter (and her friend whom she adores) are present.  She needs to know where her people are at all times - even though I try to tell the girls to stay in one spot while I run so she knows where they are, they usually don't.  She really didn't want to play during our Grand Prix run - too bad as it was a very doable course for her.  Phoenix flew off all but two teeters the whole weekend and one call was quite generous.  She did manage a standard, she won the gamblers (starters) and got a team leg.  We missed our last run as the family was begging to leave.  I should just learn my lesson and not try and mix agility with family camping.  Simply put it just doesn't work. I spend the weekend feeling guilty that they're not having fun.  Lesson learned.  Having said that I always have so much fun watching the best handlers run and it was great to meet Eric and Alicia.  So certainly worth the trip!
