He's back!

Well I had to brag....  I was entered this past weekend in charlotte but with the weather and the flu didn't go until Sunday (nice weather forcast!!).  thsi was Pippens first AKC trial since getting injured last last year, so I decided to show him this weekend at 12".  I dont like running both shadow and Pippen at the same jump height since there is really not enought time to play, celebrate and cool down after there runs.  Pippen ran standard first and gave me a lovely run.  20 dogs later shadow ran also giving me a lovely run.  When I came to check the scores later on I was so pleased to discove that shadow took a 1st with Pippen in second (behind by only 0.3s)  the 3rd place dog was over 2s back!!  I don't think I have ever gone 1 2 in a class before!  I could get used to that!!  With the multiplies shadow ended up with 44 and pippen with 33 MACh points for those standard runs..  Pip finised the day  with a q in jumpers nailing a very difficult weave pole entry.  shadow (who ran second) did not make her entry ... shows the difference.. I don't really 'train' shadow any more I just play... but at 11 she still can beat her brother!!!  ....elizabeth

Re: He's back!

Hi Elizabeth,

It is great news that Pippen is back in the saddle and ran such fabulous runs for you, with Shadow kicking some booty at 11 years old! Way to go!

Any video?

Olga.

Re: He's back!

Hi Elizabeth,

Glad to hear that Pippen is back! That is cool that you got 1st and 2nd place. I got that with my elkhounds one time when they happened to both be in Open at the same time. Duke finished his title and Aspen got her 1st leg. So congrats to you, Shadow and Pippen! I hope to see more video of Pippen in the future. It really helps to see some of the little guys negotiating a course. I'm finding the handling quite a bit different.
