Lesson 9 helps Bailey find his groove at USDAA

addictedtolabs's picture

Bailey has recovered from his bee sting and was raring to go.We did USDAA today and it was very cool to find the STD course had elements from lesson 9. Send to the table and tunnel to weaves entry, no problem for this team. A Q and First place, YES!! Even better, Eric was there to video the run so now I have proof that we can get our act together once in awhile. As soon as I find out how to convert the file type Eric uses, I can upload it.

We ended the day with a GPX qualified leg (one more to go) and then Kody took First in PNS and is qualified for the Nationals. I guess it was worth getting up at 5 AM. and driving by a local AKC trial a half mile from my house to go to LA.(VBG)

Cheers,

Jean

Can cut both ways.  we have seen some very tricky novice AKC courses recently.  The challenge was not so much in the handling but in the dogs ability to handle the speed achieved.  But in general I have found that the average USdaa starters / novice course is quite similar in the number of challenges to the average AKC excellent course ............elizabeth
