Jaldi Training Update

It's been a long time since I was online. I haven't had as much time for agility the last few months as I would like, but we're still working on our contacts as much as possible. We were able to go to a USDAA trial this past weekend and I'm happy to report that Jaldi hit all of her dogwalk contacts (only 2, but 100% success) and most of her Aframe contacts. She also performed nice teeters. We need more work on weaves. She qualified on her PVP team and had an awesome Snooker run and did a really hard (for her) gamble. I feel like we are really starting to be a team.

Phoenix Aframe practice

Here is my aframe practice, Olga, probably a little long and boring but I thought you may like to see almost the whole thing...

Emmy AF update

We are ready to learn a "proper" aframe---one where Emmy drives to the bottom, is NOT handler dependent, and understands her 2o2o position.  Olga, these are our efforts from this morning, trying to follow what you suggested.  Her tugging at the bottom wasn't very inspired....At the end, we raised the aframe to competition height and did 3 as we would try to do in a trial, since we are leaving tomorrow for one (and poor Emmy must be so mixed up at this point).

Wrinkles aframe

This is his speed challenge aframe closer up (from the recording I got on my camera) and I added slow motion in it as well. I totally got in his way while doing my front cross, but that was planned to make sure he hit the contact with such little practice. I wasn't expecting him to hit it, but he proved me wrong.

As you can see I am very proud of his 1.5 second aframe :-D I keep watching it over and over, lol.

Emmy aframe dilema

Hi Olga--This morning I was able to get some video of Emmy's aframe performance.  I tried 3 different scenarios:  1)  2o2o with me  driving past the contact.  I thought I was "driving" but the video shows that I'm still just putsing along  :-(,   2) 2o2o with me trying to hang back (her 2o2o word is "stop").  This is more like what we've been getting at a trial and she gets frustrated and jumps off, and 3)  trying a running contact.  For this I used a bar over the apex to get her to jump it, and a hoop with her toy on the other side.  She has neve
