He's back!

Well I had to brag....  I was entered this past weekend in charlotte but with the weather and the flu didn't go until Sunday (nice weather forcast!!).  thsi was Pippens first AKC trial since getting injured last last year, so I decided to show him this weekend at 12".  I dont like running both shadow and Pippen at the same jump height since there is really not enought time to play, celebrate and cool down after there runs.  Pippen ran standard first and gave me a lovely run.  20 dogs later shadow ran also giving me a lovely run.  When I came to check the scores later on I was so ple

AKC Invitational

Rats, I was there on Saturday and didnt see Tim or Sue. I would have loved to see them run and film it. I went to see the labradors who were all in the 20" jump height this year.

AKC Invitational '07: Virtual Classmate Tim Humphrey and his Boxer Kala are in the Finals!

Hurray!

Tim and Kala made it into the finals at the AKC Invitational second year in a row!

Tim and Kala had 4 perfect clear rounds and are in 5th position going into the finals in the 24" class! Congratulations to them both!

Sue and Becky are with Tim in Long Beach, so we can be expecting a blow by blow report and maybe even a video of Kala's stellar performance.

Best of luck in the Finals this evening, Tim and Kala Humphrey! Go get them, guys!

Very proud and excited,

Freddie's first AKC trial

Hi,

It's been a while since I've posted....life has been really busy...we haven't entered any trials since the two USDAA in August, just training in between the other stuff I 'have' to do (darn it!!!).

Phoenix - AKC ISC Tournament Standard Course

In class yesterday we ran the standard course from the AKC Nationals ISC Tournament.

I just wanted to post this because I am so proud Olga of the way that Phoenix is doing her pinwheels and taking turns.  She is no longer shooting off in the direction she is going and slamming her shoulders into the ground to turn.  Her time was 32.06 with a hold on the contacts on both the aframe and the dw.  When I ran it for speed - quick release and driving hard, she knocked 3 bars but her time was 30.30 seconds.  Not bad!

American Kennel Club - Mixed Breed Participation Survey

Hi guys,

AKC is asking for your opinions on whether mixed breeds should be allowed to participate in AKC Companion Events, i.e.: Agility, Rally, Obedience.

Go make yourself heard, so Helen and Wrinkles can ran at those AKC trials instead of just checking out the courses ringside!

AKC Open JWW 02/04/07 - Dusty

Dusty and I had a nice JWW run yesterday that I wanted to share.  I planned to grab him out of the weaves with my left hand and give him a push with my right for more speed, but he was moving too fast for me -- I managed the grab, but I was not nearly quick enough for the push.  : )

The Anatomy of a Run with Bailey Boy

The alarm goes off at 6 am and its a beautiful Sunday morning. Yesterdays runs, with blown weave poles and half-hearted contacts are but a distant memory, I am not even tempted to roll over and go back to sleep. Full of hope, I put aside the usual motivational tape and pop in a book on tape for the 1 1/2 hour drive to the trial.

Introducing Emmy (#2)

Well, I blew my first attempt to introduce myself and uploaded to Agility Vision instead of the TNT class.  So I'm uploading another video....This is Emmy, Bailey's younger sister.  This run was her 3rd trial (and the last one we have done so far) and her Novice Jumpers title.  We are looking forward to participating in the class!
