Wrinkles Lesson 12
Submitted by agilemutt13 on Sat, 2007-04-07 16:50.
We went to Jean's field and worked on the Lesson 12 exercises. He did pretty well, I allowed him to run his dogwalk and it seemed to work good except for one time when I ran ahead and he jumped off. His weaves though were still a bit hesitant and not very fast. We haven't really worked on them as much as we should have because I'm so busy with track, but hopefully he'll get more confident soon. I'll probably start using shorter poles to get him to push through. Anyways, pretty successful afternoon and he had fun. I also really enjoyed running Kody and Bailey!

Lesson12 #4 Kody and Bailey
Submitted by addictedtolabs on Wed, 2007-04-04 21:53.Kody watched Bailey and decided a lead out was ok. Kody still needs work on not turning back with his whole body. i am not sure of when to start moving when using a long lead out.

lesson 12 Wisp weave entries
Submitted by newfire on Wed, 2007-04-04 18:04.I have been working Wisp's weave entries. With the set of 2 poles, I have only been working the area between 4 to 8. She is quite good 6 - 8 and needs a little more practice 4 - 6. She is doing the entries at a distance of  5 - 6 feet. Should I add a little more distance now or should I start working on the whole set of poles? ..

I ran them and I watched them - feels flat. I'll chalk it up to a bad day!

lesson 12 #3 Bailey
Submitted by addictedtolabs on Wed, 2007-04-04 15:31.I can't get a full view of this course with a fixed camera. Kody and Bailey did not have a problem with the dog walk entry, they lined themselves up for a straight on entry. I remember training that in foundation. Had a problem with the weave entry which I didn't have in #1 or #2 so I remeasured and adjusted the jump before.
I have a question on the lead out. When do you start moving?
PS. At class tonight we had a very similar set up and got kudos for Baileys excellent turn to DW from a distance : )
Cheers,
Jean

Lesson 12 Exercise 2 and 4
Submitted by agilemutt13 on Sat, 2007-03-31 20:07.
We went to the park and ran some of the lesson 12 sequences. I remembered them off the top of my head after seeing the course map so I think we ran exercise 2 and 4. His weave entries were a bit hesitant in these exercises though other times we ran he was fine. The dogwalk is a tunnel because we can't bring a dogwalk down :P so yea. We had fun, let me know what you think!

Lesson 12 #1
Submitted by addictedtolabs on Fri, 2007-03-23 16:20.With the camera on a tripod, it was not possible to get the whole course in Bailey did a very good job but I could not layer the double on the way back. I may have it in the wrong position.
