Lesson 2 - Belle

Here is Baby Belle doing the balance of Lesson 2 that we didn’t get to yesterday.  I was expecting to have a much more difficult time of the doing the box using rear crosses, but she read them pretty well.

Lesson 2 - Dusty

We had another beautiful spring day today, so we were able to go out and do the rest of Lesson 2.  In Dusty’s case we also revisited the long run thru the box to jump 5b.  I was really pleased with how much better he did with that run today.  He came to my side after jump 4 and ran past all the possible off-course jumps without a glance at them and then launched over the end jump without head checking

Tim & Luz - Handling

In this video Tim runs Olga's Luz through the same jump sequence he did earlier with own baby dog Gina. This enabled Tim to work on his handling with a dog that knows how to respond to it.

Gina - Developing navigation skills

In this video Tim & Gina work on a relatively diffuclt jump box. The idea of the lesson is to develop navigation skills with the dog and team work. Keeping the bars up is not the main goal. This is a fairly technical exercise, and one that they never completely perfect in this session.

Gina - Pay attention to the jump

This video is a straight forward sequence that ends with two closely spaced jumps. The dogs needs to learn to pay attention to the jumps in order to clear them.
