Lesson 2 - Dusty
Submitted by agiledogs on Tue, 2007-03-13 15:12.We had another beautiful spring day today, so we were able to go out and do the rest of Lesson 2. In Dusty’s case we also revisited the long run thru the box to jump 5b. I was really pleased with how much better he did with that run today. He came to my side after jump 4 and ran past all the possible off-course jumps without a glance at them and then launched over the end jump without head checking

Lesson 2 - the other Bree - go straight
Submitted by Eric Larson on Wed, 2006-11-15 10:02.In this video the other Bree learns to go straight through the box. Which is a very long distance of 35-40 ft.

Lesson 2 - Olga talks
Submitted by Eric Larson on Wed, 2006-11-15 09:48.This video clip is a summary or explanation of the jump box exercise. Trying to clarify how to handle it.ÂÂ

Lesson 2 - the other Bree - navigation
Submitted by Eric Larson on Wed, 2006-11-15 09:27.This video is of the other Bree working the 10 jump sequence. Learning to navigate the dog using the inline turn and what to do with yourself while waiting for the dog to turn.ÂÂ

Lesson 2 - Sheltie
Submitted by Eric Larson on Wed, 2006-11-15 09:20.Here we have a Sheltie working the same jump box sequence. The main exercise for this week. And finish with running a straight line through the box.

Tim & Luz - Handling
Submitted by Eric Larson on Wed, 2006-11-15 09:15.In this video Tim runs Olga's Luz through the same jump sequence he did earlier with own baby dog Gina. This enabled Tim to work on his handling with a dog that knows how to respond to it.

Gina - Developing navigation skills
Submitted by Eric Larson on Wed, 2006-11-15 06:43.In this video Tim & Gina work on a relatively diffuclt jump box. The idea of the lesson is to develop navigation skills with the dog and team work. Keeping the bars up is not the main goal. This is a fairly technical exercise, and one that they never completely perfect in this session.ÂÂ

Gina - Pay attention to the jump
Submitted by Eric Larson on Wed, 2006-11-15 06:36.This video is a straight forward sequence that ends with two closely spaced jumps. The dogs needs to learn to pay attention to the jumps in order to clear them.ÂÂ
