Wrinkles Lesson 6 course

We were able to make it to Jean's field yesterday =) and run some of the lesson 6 stuff. Here's a video of the course. He did pretty well besides my late commands :-/ His speed wasn't amazing today, probably because we've been doing a lot of agility lately... I'll have to give him a break. Anyways, thanks Jean for letting us come over and thanks for helping me with my bad handling ;-) Enjoy the video :)

Lesson 6 the course, Bailey

The good, bad and ugly. Lots of fun with a challenging course. I tried the tunnel to jumps  (3,4) several ways... could only manage it with a flip and left jump command. Look at the kid get that weave entry..good boy!! he popped out because  I didn't give him enough support. I was overly concerned about getting a front cross in after the tire. Lot to work on but I was very happy with the lateral distance Bailey worked the weaves.

Bailey Lesson 6 seq 1& 2

Camera is on tripod so whole seq. doesnt show. Seq 1 no issues with obstical focused Bailey he breezes thru the jumps after the tunnel. Seq 2 approach to weaves from jump, needs more work. He doesnt want to hold 2o2 on AF which would give me time to get ahead to give better cue to weaves. A very good seq. to work on back cross in the weaves.

Cheers,

Jean

Phoenix & Xena, Lesson 6, Seq 1 & 2

Here are Xena and Phoenix doing Lesson 6, Sequence 1 and 2.  I thought they both did well although we had issues with both startline stays (Xena) and aframe contacts (Phoenix).  Phoenix start line was good this week but as you can see, I let her get away with one aframe contact where she released herself and then the behavior broke down from there.  I do think I probably don't make her hold it long enough when I get wrapped up in running a sequence, but it is so much more fun!  I will go back and work some basics next week - one step into position.  I didn't think I quite got t

Daisy Lesson 6 Seq 1&2

This is Daisy, my older girl.  She is over-the-top toy/pinecone/etc obsessive and it is very difficult for her to focus on her job in training.  This was her first time through the sequences. (The weavepoles are really sliding because of the frozen ground).

Emmy Lesson 6 Seq 1&2

Hi Olga.  Until winter leaves us, I do not have access to a larger training area or contact equipment, so I adapted the exercise as best I could.  This is Emmy, my young girl.  We are just starting to compete.  This was her first time trying the sequences.

Pippen lesson 6 seq 1,2 and the course

I wasn't sure how to handle the ending sequence so I thought I would do both dogs the same way.
