Wisp weave session sept 11/07

This is an example of how we are working on the weaves .....

Olga/weave training

I have over an hour of film of our weave session with Olga last January. I have uploaded a very small part. Things to notice....high rate of reward and very casual/laid back body stance used by Olga. Didnt get it...no big deal...got it click and treat....

Cheers,

Jean

Wisp does bits and pieces

we are making fairly steady progress...

weaves =)

Wrinkles' weaves from today in my friend's yard. We got out bases together so we had 12 and I'm really proud of him... he's really starting to one step and getting more flexible. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Wisp table,teeter,weaves

We put the 24" legs on the table for Wisp and that threw her a little!  I am using table = down and bench = sit and she seems to be getting the idea.  I am going to alternate with just running to the table and getting on it with a quick release and asking for a position followed by a quick release.

Baileys weave pole entries

Don't want to jinx myself, but Baileys weave pole entries at trials are awesome. Our session with Olga and subsequent practice has sure paid off big time. This is the third trial with 100 % success, even with the harder entries. Or may be its the hypnosis "I love weave poles, weave poles are my friend" that I make him say before each run. (VBG)

Thanks Olga,

cheers,

Jean

Weave pole entry training

Last January I was able to get up to LA and have a lesson with Olga to work on Baileys weave pole issues at trials. He was great in class and practice but missed he entries at trial. We have been doing the exercises she showed us, several times a week and although its still too soon to expect results, we have had some nice qualifying runs.

Olga, do you see any glaring errors?

Jean

Weave pole and speed update

This was from about a week ago when we went to the park. We basically worked on full out speed and running ahead of Helen. :) I was very proud of him. His weaves are really improving and he's just having a ton of fun. Not too bad for a slow, "fat" dog, huh? ;)

Lesson 9 helps Bailey find his groove at USDAA

Bailey has recovered from his bee sting and was raring to go.We did USDAA today and it was very cool to find the STD course had elements from lesson 9. Send to the table and tunnel to weaves entry, no problem for this team. A Q and First place, YES!! Even better, Eric was there to video the run so now I have proof that we can get our act together once in awhile. As soon as I find out how to convert the file type Eric uses, I can upload it.

Wrinkles 12 weaves

Well Jean was able to bring over the set of weaves alicia gave to me and I took some videos of him running 12 weaves. Thank you Alicia and Jean for helping me out so much! Enjoy and let me know what you think...
