Re: 2007 Cynosports World Games Bailey

That run was in the main ring, the other 5 had normal equipment. Not sure what you mean about the "horrible old teeter."

I think you said you are coming next year. Be prepared to "go with the flow".There are 6 rings going at all times. Everyone is divided into 8 groups, your group is running in the same ring so there are not conflicts. You walk (10 minutes) all the courses starting at 7am according to your group assignment. You might walk Jumpers at 7:30 and run at 3:00. Easier then it sounds because you have plenty of time to watch runs. My hardest day was  having to walk Team Standard then the GPX Q final. then run the Team STD shortly after. Actually, I think it was the other way around..but you get the idea. The other factor is the 90+ degree weather and the distance from the kennel area and the rings...you do a lot of walking.

Lots of fun, but now I have to retrain Baileys 2o2o cntacts, as you can see they are gone. LOL.

Cheers,

Jean

Re: 2007 Cynosports World Games Bailey

the horrible old teeter was retired several years ago, but was resurected in order to raise money for the icfs team... you paid $5 for a go on the old teeter then at the end of the games it was supposed to be burned!!

Oh, they did have a teeter there for "$5 a ride". We didnt know what it was for and someone mentioned it woud be training on the grounds so we didnt do it. It was by a ring and I never saw anyone on it. I hope they raise some money form the public anyway.

Re: 2007 Cynosports World Games Bailey

Good job, Jean nad Bailey!

Congratulations on making the Semifinals! That's quite an accomplishment.

From your posts I see you had a great time at the games.. and that's the most important thing, ;-)..

Olga.

Re: 2007 Cynosports World Games Bailey

Thanks Olga. We really, really, really missed not having you there. I managed to get my act together and our GPX semi-final run was much better as was our Snooker run. Gamblers was a disaster..note to self, dont panic when the whistle blows, look at your dog and make sure he comes with you to complete the gamble. Embarassed

Cheers,

Jean

Re: 2007 Cynosports World Games Bailey

Hi Jean,

Freddie and I were in Scottsdale for the weekend. Although I kept my eyes peeled, there was so much going on at one time, and I'm sorry that we never hooked up. There was one instance that I thought it might be you, but it wasn't. We will meet one day at a local trial, I'm sure!

Congratulations on your showing with Bailey! You must be very proud...way to go!

I did see the finals all three nights, which was very exciting. Alicia and Pickle were awesome, and my friend Julie won 22" PGP with her Elvis. We go way back...she and Elvis started at the same time as me and my Gus...let's just say we weren't in the same classes for very long!!

Freddie was great, not frazzled by anything except the shadows one night in the dark parking lot. The poor woman whose shadow it was, thought Freddie was frightened of her. I asked if we could just walk around her so he could see she wasn't the boogie man. I was very pleased with my boy.

I'm hoping that Freddie and I will qualify to participate in the games next year, and also hoping that they will be in Scottsdale again. I have no idea if that is realistic or not, just my own personal wish. It is a great location. Whether or not we qualify, though, it is a lot of fun to go.  I get a lot out of watching the teams and evaluating the courses.

Again, my congratulations to you, and I look forward to catching up one day soon!

Re: 2007 Cynosports World Games Bailey

Eric had some video he shot for personal use which he posted up on agility vison which has a 4 way screen of the gp finals... all the dogs were awesome.  To be able to go in under pressure and lay down such a beautiful run....  represents a tremendous amount of work / fun!!

I hope to get Wisp and Pippen to Scotsdale next year ... this year has been so fragmented with home demands!
