When you get dog released from "Service" dog college, AKA boot camp, they are very hush,hush about what training they have been given. The powers to be  want to make sure they are not used for any kind of service work. They make you sign papers to that effect.

My guess is Kody was trained to sit next to someone who collapsed or fell out of a wheelchair and bark for help. Knowing Kody, I think he decided its worth extra points if you sit on your person. : )
