Virtual classmate makes finals at 2006 AKC Agility Invitational!

Virtual student Tim Humphrey, who you usually see practicing with his young Border Collie Gina. Went to the AKC Agility Invitational in Long Beach the first weekend in December with his Boxer Kala.

They ran four clean runs to make it into the finals, with a fifth place seeding. In the finals they ended up in 5th place for the 24" jump height.

We shot a quick video talking about the whole experience and what it meant to him.

You bet! I can't wait for the AKC Invitational to air on Animal Planel. My TiVo is ready and we'll be cheering for Tim and Kala like mad!

was it just me or was the invitational not on animal planet the sunday it was suppose to be on? I was disappointed :(

What is a TiVo??  Way too cool to see Tim and Kala on TV I hope the Lab, Slick is on as well.

Oh, come on, Jean. The IPod wearing trendy lady doean't know what TiVo is, ;-) ? .. It's a hard disk recorder that comes with your cable/satellite TV service. You can program it like a VCR and it'll record your favorite Agility shows and other stuff for you. Way cool! You can fast forward though the commercials too..

I was just kidding. My HDTV cable box does the same thing. And that is an MP3 player, I am not trendy enough to have an IPOD. LOL.

I'm so happy to hear Tim's thoughts about his run.  Everyone, not just us students, should get to see this interview - Tim and Kala certainly embody the spirit of running agility.
